Okay. I've got something to say about these photos. This was my first time shooting at Albion basin and despite being told there are 5 photographers per square foot of land up there, here's my verdict: WORTH IT. Yes, there were 12 families getting their photos taken within a 10 foot radius at the most popular spot. Yes, there were couples wearing their wedding clothes gallivanting all over the hillside. BUT. We were smart and started with Amy and Travis' first look a little bit up the road at what I think is an equally gorgeous location, where almost NO ONE was. Imagine getting to surprise your future husband in your most beautiful gown ever in the middle of a flowery field with giant blue mountain backdrops as the sun goes down. Not kidding. Fairytales happen here.
Not to forget about the most important part, this cutest couple ever, Amy and Travis. (it was easy for me to remember his name). I grew up in the same neighborhood as Amy and her older sister and I were close friends. She being only a year or two younger was usually present at our hangouts. And now ten years later I was so happy to be able to photograph her in her GORGEOUS dress and see the happiness radiate from her and her adoring fiancé. (now husband). Have I mentioned I love my job? k. Travis won my affections when I was about to get a parking ticket (DISCLAIMER: THERE IS NOT ENOUGH PARKING AT ALBION) for parking on an unmarked side part of the parking lot. A cop ACTUALLY came up there and started ticketing people. Travis graciously offered to go talk to the cop for us while we took solo shots of Amy. He came back and told us that if we moved right now, he wouldn't give us a fine. We were no where close to being done shooting, as the best light was just cresting, and so he offered to drive my car around for a bit until a real spot opened up. Well, a spot never opened up and I needed Travis back, so after the cop left we kind of just parked in the same spot and hurried. (I'M SORRY. Karma will probably get me). It ended up being fine and we had amazing lighting and you can just look at the pictures now.

Quincey....these are STUNNING! We wanted to use you so badly for Gavin and Karly's wedding but her mom already had a long time family friend lined up. Ugh...
